Kort manual til brug af PF's mailinglister

 

Når du skal sende kommandoer til en mailingliste, skal du sende en email til Denne e-mailadresse bliver beskyttet mod spambots, du skal have Javascript aktiveret for at se den med en kommando i emnet af mailen, lad resten af mailen være tom.

Hvis du er ejer eller medlem af en liste er det vigtigt, at du sender kommandoer fra den emailadresse, du har registreret dig med.

Owner commands

add

Syntax :
add password list-name e-mail {user-name}
Adds a user to list-name. If no (user-name) is provided, “anonymous” will be added.

Example (in one line):
add *foo123 space-l Denne e-mailadresse bliver beskyttet mod spambots, du skal have Javascript aktiveret for at se den John Smith Jr.

 

change-mode

syntax : change-mode password list-name mode
Allows owner to swap between discussion, xdiscussion and diffusion modes without restarting the service.

Modes are:

discussion
xdiscussion
diffusion

Useful for the identification and removal of errors in list distribution.

Example (in one line):
change-mode *foo123 space-l xdiscussion

 

del

Syntax : del password list-name e-mail
Deletes a user from list-name (owner only). You can use wildcards "*" and "?" to specify a domain to delete.

Example (in one line):
del *foo123 space-l· Denne e-mailadresse bliver beskyttet mod spambots, du skal have Javascript aktiveret for at se den

To delete everybody at dolist.net send:
del *foo123 space-l *dolist.net


find e-mail

syntax : find e-mail address
Search all lists managed by the owner to the specified e-mail address. Wildcards "*" and "?" can be used.

Example to find a known spammer’s e-mail address on all your lists:

To search all yahoo.com accounts that begin with an “x”:
find
x*@yahoo.com


get-post-stats

syntax : get-post-stats password list-name
Sends detailed statistics on last posting in a list. A count of traffic is sent, which members have posted, dates, as well as the number of subscribers when the post occurred.


mdel

Syntax : mdel password list-name e-mail
"M" stands for mail. Same as del command, but sends the same message as when a user address is in error (see value "5" in list.cfg for error processing).


post-rules

Syntax : post-rules password list-name
Post the contents of rules.txt to the (list-name) list.


qadd

Quiet user addition. Same as add command, but no welcome message is sent.


qdel

Quiet user deletion. Same as del command, but no goodbye message is sent.


rebuild-archive

syntax : rebuild-archive password list-name
Rebuild the list archive. Used occasionally to update software versions, as well as to re-create the index, etc.


reload-list-config

syntax : reload-list-config password list-name
Allows the list owner to reload list.cfg without restarting Dolist. Useful for remote

list.cfg modifications.
Example:
reload-list-config *foo123 space-l


resend-mod

syntax : resend-mod password list-name
Allows the list owner to make Dolist resend moderator action files that are queued. Sometimes moderation or bad word processing isn't done or is forgotten; this command will re-process all waiting files· .


stats

syntax : stats password list-name
Allows the list owner to get statistics immediately, rather than waiting for the daily automatic stats message.


status

syntax : password list-name e-mail expression
Set list member status to:

NORMAL : normal mode (no ban, no moderation).
BAN : User cannot subscribe, unsubscribe, post or receive mail.
MOD : Set user to moderated status. (See moderation for more information).
HOL / NOHOL : Set user to holiday / no holiday mode.
DIG / NODIG : Set user to digest / no digest mode.
REPRO / NOREPRO : Set user to receive / not receive his own mail via the list.
ACK / NOACK : Set user to receive / not receive confirmation after posting.


A member who is banned cannot be removed by anyone (including the list owner) until his status has been changed to another mode (NORMAL or MOD). An attempt by a banned member to unsubscribe will receive a response as if they were unsubscribed, but will stay subscribed nonetheless. This is an effective way to block spammers and others who might seek to cause trouble on the list.
